About the Open Data Cook Book
We believe that open data should be accessible to everyone: data is not just for developers.
The Open Data Cook Book project is working to collect simple 'recipes' - sets of instructions for carrying out a project usingopen data - from governments, charities, companies or communities - to make an impact.
Recipe writers- have you got a good tried and tested way to use open data to make a difference? From adding statistics to a story, to mapping mash-ups and creating new tools: share your step-by-step recipes to let others learn from your experience.
Recipe testers- not sure how to get started with open data but want to learn? Try out a recipe and give us your feedback - tell us what worked and what didn't and share your case study stories of the difference it made.
Editors and supporters- there are lots of other tasks needed - from tidying up recipes and sourcing images - to outreach to get our open data recipes into the hands of those who need them.
The best way to get involved is to register for an account here and join the mailing list .
